Letter 7

Reality is not more "complex" than this: If you have "common ground" with a fascist, you have no common ground with me.

I have no room to compromise with bigotry, no desire for "unity" with people who cheer the idea of mass detention of immigrants, who attack vaccination, and want to oppress LBGTQ people. Where is the room for compromise? Just a little oppression? Just a bit of ethnic cleansing?

I am not interested in "honoring the complexity" of oppressors or bigots. And anyone who voted for Trump, if they claim not to be oppressors or bigots, they certainly have no problem supporting people who clearly are.

I am not trying to understand, or encouraging people to understand those who support the leopards who are publicly announcing their intent to eat people's faces.
