Piltdown Triumphant
We live in the age of Piltdown Triumphant, the man who does not actually exist in the objective world, who makes reality his enemy.
We live in the age of Piltdown Triumphant, the man who does not actually exist in the objective world, who makes reality his enemy.
To the man who does not believe in Truth, who has closed his eyes to knowledge, life is filled with imagined terrors. Since he has nothing aside from his imagination, he becomes the victim of his imaginings.
He is always at war with his own shadow. He invents demons, lashes out in all directions against enemies that only he can see.
Knowledgeable people frighten him. Books frighten him. Art frightens him. People who are not like him frighten him. All these things suggest to him that there is a world outside of his own perception of himself.
Liars hate the Truth. Even more so the man who lives in a lie. He fears that to know would be his annihilation.
And so he seeks to destroy all that makes him fearful. He goes to war with reality itself.
Such men are dangerous. In power, they are a calamity.
