Unnatural Hunger

Bigotry and greed are never satisfied.

Bigotry and greed are never satisfied. They grow with every feeding. Even when everyone the bigot hated is dead, the hatred still rages and searches for someone else to destroy. Even when far more wealth is piled up than the greedy could ever spend, the lust for more grows stronger.

That's why vices are vices. They're never satisfied. They grow until they destroy everyone in reach, and still they are ravenous for more.

For the bigot, and the greedy, there is never a moment's contentment. There can never be satisfaction. It is a horrible thing to see someone with more than they could spend in a hundred lifetimes still clawing, scratching and debasing themselves searching desperately for one more dollar. It's a terrifying thing to watch the bigot grow ever more perverse, ever more callous, ever more violent even as they inflict suffering on innocent people all around them.

Hungers that are natural to a human being can be satisfied, at least temporarily. A full meal is "enough," even sexual desire can be fulfilled and the human can lie quietly contented. But an unnatural hunger, one that is contrary to human nature can never, ever be sated.
