Nice! Important reading from you, again.

Wonderfully stated. Students have had a lot on their minds in America these days. If protesting genocide is the excuse for not doing the damn reading, I am very proud of them and their ability to pivot and embrace what’s urgently important, even tho I agree w/you.

Philosophy class destroyed me - I completely washed out. I am not of limited intelligence by any means - I learned VERY late in life that my problem is called dyslexia. Philosophy reading to me was long paragraphs that were only one long sentence. By the time I got to the end I had lost the beginning. I read it over and over and over and retained nothing. I even tried diagramming the sentences. I wanted to understand - I just couldn't. I was able to get some of Plato, but then the tough stuff came along.

Hopefully in these times problems like mine are diagnosed early, but if not - another option. Maybe it's not you, and it's not them. It might just be the weird wiring in their brains.

Truly inspirational...hope they are listening & receiving the message. What's the best way to share it?

Reading the stuff and discussing it is FUN! But I’m weird that way.

I feel bad for folks who don’t enjoy that process.

I sadly did nothing in school ( perhaps from losing my father at 12 , I don’t know ) our school district was very progressive with good teachers . Didn’t help me one bit !

But my husband was and is very bright , but was traumatized from school , but still managed to get good grades .he is a sensitive empath . Fortunately both our son and daughter , are teachers and have gotten wonderful feedback from their students and their parents . So thankfully the apples didn’t fall too close to our tree 😉😂😁
